Eyebrows are one of the key elements on the face which play a key role in your appearance and beauty. To enhance your appearance, shaping brows is essential and gives you a beautiful face frame. The Golden Ratio- The key to finding balance, harmony and beauty

The Golden Ratio, also referred to as the Divine Proportion, states that when a line is divided into two parts in a ratio of 1: 1.618, it creates the ideal proportion. Ok. So what does this have to do with eyebrows? Well, when it comes to art, artists use this golden ratio because it is aesthetically pleasing. The golden ratio can be used in art and design to achieve beauty, balance, and harmony. Anastasia Beverly Hills, long time professional celebrity Brow Artist, started to apply this ratio to the face in 1997, specifically the eyebrows to create aesthetic harmony. We won't go into the math, but the gist is this:

The fronts of your brows should start where the bulb of your nose is. Grab a brow pencil and let it rest on the side of the bulb of the nose, straight up toward the brow, mark the area.

The arch should occur diagonally from the outside of the bulb of the nose and straight through the iris of the eye. Mark this area using the brow pencil. To find where your brows should end, hold the pencil diagonally along the side of the nostril and align it with the outside corner of the eye.

Now that you have where your brows should start, arch and end, you can softly fill them in with a pencil or powder. Keep in mind, since all faces are different, sometimes the shape will have to be adjusted to make the brows look more fitting to your face and to give the most natural look. What we are looking for is balance and an aesthetically pleasing shape, not perfect, cookie cutter brows, but brows that flow with your face. The goal is for the brows to frame your eyes nicely, to enhance your natural beauty and not overwhelm the face. According to Anastasia: "Beauty is about balance & proportion, not perfection." The makeup that you are using should be soft and be applied light handed to avoid a harsh look. Choose a color that is within a couple of shades of your natural hair color. Finish off the look with some tinted or clear brow gel to keep everything in place and for added definition and fluff.

If you are tired of filling in your brows or having to create a whole shape every day, consider permanent makeup. It is a great investment and will save a lot of time and money in the long run. What are the types of permanent makeup you can receive?

Microblading, a permanent makeup technique, is a process of blade hair-like strokes onto the skin to give symmetry to your brows which enhances their appearance. This technique is very popular and has been proven to boost confidence in clients. For microblading, the condition is that your skin must be healthy. Shaping is personalized for the clients facial features.

Powder Brows, also a permanent makeup technique, is done with a pmu machine where the color is implanted into the skin with a needle. Symmetry and balance are provided for the client and the healed look is a powdered finish. Most skin types qualify for this service.
